A 100-Year Promise to His GrandfatherPeter Muchiri’s grandfather was a deeply passionate coffee farmer. When Peter left his village to study accounting and enter the financial world, he made a solemn promise: "I will transform the Kenyan coffee industry." His grandfather passed away in 2008 at the age of 88. If he were alive today, he would be exactly 100 years old. After working in banking and consulting, Peter returned to his roots in 2012 to establish Rockbern. This coffee is not just a commercial product; it is the ultimate fulfillment of a sacred family promise, carrying the proud bloodline of Kenyan farmers across generations.
